Napiarissat is broader than most rivers in Greenland and offers some of the easiest walking along any major river on the west coast. From camp, productive water is never far away. 

Just below camp, the home pool comes alive on a rising tide as fresh schools of char push into the river from the fjord. A little farther upstream, enormous ice-age boulders create perfect holding water and countless places to explore. The river can be fished from both banks, while wading opens access to runs and seams beyond casting distance.

A few kilometres from camp, a powerful waterfall gathers fish in the pool below. It is a favourite stop for many guests—and a place where foam flies often disappear in spectacular takes. 

Above the falls, the river settles into a long, inviting stretch of classic char water. Here, skating foam flies and swinging streamers are equally effective as the river winds its way toward a second waterfall upstream.
